All three Maynard teams successfully completed their respective Ten Tors hikes over the weekend of 6/7 May 2017 and congratulations to them all. We also fielded seven individuals who took part with other teams and, again, who all completed incident-free.
A bitterly cold start developed into a gloriously sunny weekend with near perfect conditions to aid the girls on their gruelling 35-mile (two teams) and 45-mile (one team) challenges. Barring the odd blister and the expected stiffness, the Maynard teams finished safely within their allotted times and were home on Sunday night for a well-deserved meal and a good night’s sleep, ready for school the next day!
