As we near the end of another fantastic year at The Maynard School, the Summer Term finishes with an array of exciting events, charity fundraising and other fun-filled activities:

Kicking off School Diversity Week, The Great Pride Bake Off will be raising money for Proud2Be, a charity supporting LGBTQIA+ people in Devon and beyond. All cakes entered will be sold at break and lunch.
In preparation for Sports Day, students can bring in coloured materials, fabrics and coloured pens to begin the construction of the House Dragons.
Wednesday 26th June
The Merchants Charity Event is taking place.
Thursday 27th June
There will be a Mufti Day for charity, also raising money for Proud2Be. This will involve the legendary Pride Fashion show where the teachers are dressed up by the students! A cash donation of £2 will be welcome. Students are encouraged to wear rainbow colours.
Friday 28th June
Some Upper 4 girls will be doing the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Qualifier.
The Year 10 (Lower 5) Girls into STEM day will be happening in Bradley Hall, jointly organised by The Maynard and The STEM Workshop. 50 Year 10 girls from visiting schools will join Lower 5 to participate in the event. Lower 5 students are asked to wear uniform.
Monday 1st July
The Goldsmiths Charity Event is taking place.
Students are asked to clear out their lockers.
Tuesday 2nd July
Senior School Sports Day will be happening at Exeter Arena. Girls should come to school in their PE kit and a House-coloured top if they wish. Upper 3, Lower 4 and Lower 6 should register in the Main School Hall at 8.40am where buses will be coordinated. Upper 4 and Lower 5 should register in their form room as normal and then go to the Main School Hall at 9.00am.
Girls can either be picked up from the Arena at 3.30pm or will be taken back to school on a school minibus. Please note that the car park becomes congested for parents collecting students from the Arena.
Wednesday 3rd July
House Music Videos are being filmed. Girls should bring in music video costumes.
Thursday 4th July
The Mock Election will take place in the morning.
At 1.00pm students will travel to Sandy Park by bus for the Summer Celebration from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. They will need to be in full school uniform.
Students travelling back to school will leave first and return via the minibuses. Students being collected from the car park will be escorted to the Exeter Chiefs Gates by their tutors. Parents should please remain seated until asked to sign out your daughter – staff will be on each of the exits to do this. Please note that the Sandy Park car park becomes very congested and a staggered departure is recommended.
