This morning, the brilliant Year 6s enjoyed a special Great Big Live Assembly to celebrate Black History Month! Joining over 1,000 schools from across the country on a live stream by the Sanctuary Foundation, girls learned about inspiring Black figures from the past shared by celebrities and other primary school students on this year’s theme of ‘Honouring Heroes’. They were also encouraged to consider how they can celebrate Black History Month in their own communities and to find out more about Black British history, not just throughout this month but all year long.
