What an enormous success our first ever Upper 3 (Year 7) ‘Robot Day’ was on Monday, and it was such a joy being able to share our love of all things STEM with other students from Exeter Cathedral School and St Peters Prep School.
From the very start, the girls threw themselves into the challenge – working seamlessly in teams, tackling complex technical tasks, and showing great spirit along the way. They didn’t just build and code their own robots, they engineered claws to collect items, designed functional traffic lights and barriers, and put their creations to the test in an exciting robot car race finale!
Special congratulations to our prize winners, who embodied kindness, courage, integrity and community (The Maynard Values), as well as those who excelled in our top challenges:
- Best Racing Robot
- Robot that Created the Best Artwork
- Best Overall Team
A huge thank you to everyone who made this event such a phenomenal success! Evidently, the future of STEM is in great hands.
