Our brilliant Upper 3 (Year 7) have been thoroughly enjoying their exciting ‘Treasure Island’ Science module, learning all about key topics like energy stores, food tests, pollution, animal cells and more in the context of being marooned on a beautiful island. Tying all this together, they’ve now constructed amazing 3D models of Treasure Island demonstrating how they’d use their island’s resources sustainably!
Each group carefully considered the best placement and use of power stations and renewable resources, how much energy would be produced, and the environmental, social and economic advantages of their scheme, making each model incredibly detailed and well-thought-out. Well done everyone! (And if we’re ever stranded on an island, we know to call you for help!)
