This part of the Summer Term is the time when Tregear is usually buzzing with class concerts. These are always enjoyed by all and are a chance to celebrate pupils’ musical achievements. We are delighted to report that this spirit of celebration and fun has continued remotely. Upper 3, Lower 4 and Upper 4 have been busy sending in recordings of performances, of quizzes they have produced and presentations on musicians they admire. The variety has been simply staggering and how pupils have coped with the recording technology has been very impressive.
Miss Blackwell has also been treated to solo performances on instruments ranging from harps and saxophones to a straw trumpet, seen presentations on performers such as Jeffrey Lewis and Little Richard (a lovely memorial tribute), taken a dog disco quiz, heard several original and inventive songs about COVID-19 and learnt that there is an app called ‘my talking pet’ when sent a video of a rapping pet cat! Well done to everyone for taking part so brilliantly.
