Our A Level Geographers went beyond the classroom to apply their learning to climate change at a Plymouth University conference on Changing Spaces.
Considering global issues on a local level, they completed a workshop on creating and designing zero carbon communities with an emphasis on the Culm Garden Village near Cullumpton. The Garden Village has the potential to deliver up to 5,000 sustainable new homes with locally accessible jobs and community facilities, all integrated with Cullompton itself. The girls also attended a lecture on media representations on place and how it affects our perceptions of place.
They did a wonderful job putting their Geography know-how into practice!
