As part of Year 4’s Science work on sound, they’ve been learning all about how sound is made, how it travels, and how we hear it. To deepen their understanding, they were given a thoroughly groovy homework challenge: to design and make their own musical instruments that play different pitches! Using a variety of materials, everyone drew on their knowledge of sound vibrations and how different materials can produce unique sounds to make a diverse and imaginative range of instruments. The result is a fabulous mix of science and creative flair combined!
