Brilliant charitable work from our amazing Maynardians

There are so many great charitable things happening during the coronavirus lockdown with so many of our students doing their bit to help out!

Rose in Upper 3 and her siblings are running 143.1 miles to raise money for the UK’s Covid-19 vaccine development at the University of Oxford, while Betsy in Lower 6 is running around (the equivalent of) the whole of Devon (350 miles) to raise money for the NHS!

Meanwhile, Hannah Sophia in Lower 4 learned to crochet so she could make “Ear Saver Bands” for a nursing team in Torbay Hospital, Alice in Upper 4 has been making masks for her mum’s workplace and Maddy, also in Upper 4, is helping with the Pinhoe Community Support group and Community Greenhouse, while Natalie and Megan in Lower 5 have been making scrubs laundry bags for NHS workers!

And not forgetting all our students and staff who are taking part in the 5K challenge for the NHS.

Thank you all for going the extra mile to help those who are doing so much for us all!
