It was time again last week for the Catherine Fraser Memorial Tournament – organised by Exeter City Community Trust, the partner of Exeter City Football Club, to honour Catherine’s legacy – with over 150 female footballers from local schools taking to the pitch for fun and football in the sunshine.
Both A and B teams gave it their all and played fantastically against neighbouring schools. They made it through to the cup with excellent teamwork and a great attitude throughout, making it as far as the quarter finals before being knocked out, narrowly losing in penalties.
Special mentions to everyone who scored goals as well as Aliana for her solid defending, Emily for stepping up in goal, Maddy for working her socks off, and Charlotte for controlling her nerves to send home a rocket of a penalty!
