Sometimes learning really can be all fun and games! This term, our tech whizzes in Upper 4 (Year 9) have seen creativity and coding collide when developing their own interactive games using GDevelop: starting with a fireworks game, they mastered event-driven programming before moving on to platformer games with collision detection, scoring, and variables. Such a hands-on approach introduces Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in an accessible way, bridging the gap between block-based and text-based coding. Everyone should be very proud of their amazing coding creations!
