David Hockney inspires GCSE and A-level artists

Students studying GCSE and A-level art have enjoyed a fantastic trip to London to see the David Hockney retrospective at Tate Britain. As the fastest-selling exhibition in the Tate’s history (and the largest to ever be staged there), it had a lot to live up to but our girls certainly weren’t disappointed, returning home fuelled with inspiration for their future projects.

As the artist himself said after the exhibition installation had been completed, “I made some quite good pictures, didn’t I?” Our students would certainly agree!
