Congratulations to everyone who participated in the UK Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Junior Mathematical Challenge this year! For girls who love sinking their teeth into mathematical problems of all kinds, this was a great opportunity to push themselves to expand their numerical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency.
We had an amazing set of results with almost 40 students being awarded a certificate – everyone should be very proud of themselves! Special congratulations to Lower 4 (Year 8) students Abi (best in school), Milly, Izzy and Katie who will compete in the follow-on Junior Kangaroo challenge, and to Milly who will also compete in the Junior Mathematical Olympiad as one of only around 1,200 students in the UK; as well as to Upper 3 (Year 7) students Alice and Freya who were best in year.
