Between being the only school to proudly sponsor the Exeter Chiefs Women’s team as part of supporting women’s sport locally, and our secret weapon Clara Nielson (team trainer, Chiefs player extraordinaire and one of our super Science Technicians), it’s abundantly clear that we absolutely LOVE our rugby here at The Maynard!
Our first rugby match of the year was highly anticipated and met with heaps of enthusiasm from our fantastic rugby team: playing against Stover School this week, they had a brilliant touch rugby experience – the first opportunity for some girls who had never played before – and just didn’t want the match to end.
Very well done to all players for a terrific game!
