Fourteen of our Year 9 and 10 girls enjoyed another excellent exchange with our partner school, the Scharnhorst Gymnasium in Hildesheim, northwest Germany during the October half term. Run in partnership with Exeter School, this was the 53rd visit to Germany making this one of the oldest school exchange programmes in the country.
Each of the girls stayed with their assigned family and enjoyed group excursions as well as sampling life at their exchange school. Highlights included the Helmstedt-Marienborn Checkpoint (the former border dividing East and West), as well as visiting the enchanting city of Bremen.
We can now look forward to hosting the German students and teachers here in in Exeter in March 2020.
