Growing knowledge in the allotment

Posted on April 8, 2025

This term, Upper 3 have been getting their hands dirty—literally! As part of our new science topic on allotments, the girls ventured outside to plant a variety of seeds, including peas, potatoes, and some beautiful flowers. This hands-on experience is designed to help them understand plant growth, the importance of caring for living things, and the science behind successful cultivation.

Over the coming weeks, the girls will take responsibility for their plants, monitoring their progress and learning about the conditions needed for healthy growth. This project not only reinforces their scientific knowledge but also encourages patience, teamwork, and an appreciation for nature. We can’t wait to see the results of their hard work!
