Part Time School Librarian

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Librarian to manage and develop the Library at our thriving independent school. The successful candidate will be a qualified Librarian or have demonstrable experience in a similar role. They will be passionate about literature and be able to encourage and inspire students.

The Maynard School Library is used by all year groups from Years 3-13, for borrowing books and for Years 7 upwards for researching and learning. There are two rooms: the main library where the librarian’s desk is located contains fiction, some non-fiction, iPads and a printer, and the study library contains careers information, non-fiction and 14 computers. The library corridor between the rooms contains senior fiction provided for sixth formers and staff. The study library is a designated quiet working area.
