Mini Bus Driver - Part Time
GENERAL: To drive the school mini bus to nominated pick-up points, collect pupils and bring them to school ready for the start of the school day. At the end of the school day to ensure same pupils are returned to original pick-up point.
RESPONSIBLE and REPORTING to: The School Business Manager
LIAISON with: Bursary, parents/guardians and Estates.
SPECIFIC QUALITIES:
• A courteous and welcoming manner under all circumstances in dealings with parents, pupils and all staff
• A flexible approach and an enjoyment of team work; a willingness to adapt to the changing demands of school life.
HOURS:
• To be confirmed but 2 hours in the morning from approximately 0600 to 0830 and 2 hours in the evening from 1545 to 1800 Monday to Friday, term time only.
SPECIFIC TASKS
• To record start and end mileage in the appropriate record book
• To ensure the minibus is kept clean and tidy at all times
• To collect pupils at nominated pick-up points – timetable to be confirmed
• To return pupils to nominated drop-off points – timetable to be confirmed
• To ensure mini bus has sufficient fuel at all times

Application FormPart Time School Cleaning Operative
Responsible to the HR Advisor at all times, and reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor regarding the day-to-day cleaning of the school. The key elements of the position are listed below. From time to time the Cleaning Supervisor or HR Advisor will request that other tasks are undertaken in order to facilitate the smooth running of the school. The list of key tasks is therefore not exhaustive.
Hours: 6 hours per evening (4.00pm – 10.00pm), for 37 weeks (term-time) + 2 weeks in school holidays plus additional days within the year depending on when the school holidays fall. Also, four weeks’ paid holiday. Holidays cannot be taken in term-time.
Rate of pay: £12.05 Per Hour
Key requirement: the ability to work flexibly and efficiently as part of a team.
Key tasks:
- To be responsible for cleaning your own section of the school which will change on a rota system to the standard approved by the Cleaning Supervisor and HR Advisor. The area you are asked to clean may vary from time to time.
- To advise the Cleaning Supervisor of anything unusual or of concern that you may see in your cleaning area e.g. damaged electrical socket, broken window or equipment etc.
- To advise the Cleaning Supervisor when your cleaning stocks are low so he/she can arrange to re-order in plenty of time.
- To wear any Personal Protective Equipment issued to you as and when necessary eg rubber gloves, eye goggles etc. Do not allow any cleaning agent to come into contact with your skin.
- To store all cleaning materials in a safe environment, and be aware of health and safety implications.
- To secure all cleaning store cupboards after use.
- To use the correct cleaning implement for the task in hand at all times. If in any doubt, contact the Cleaning Supervisor or HR Advisor immediately.
- To advise the Cleaning Supervisor of any overtime worked on a daily basis, to enable accurate records to be maintained, and to enable this overtime to be paid on a monthly basis.
- To assist other members of the Cleaning team as and when required by the Cleaning Supervisor and/or HR Advisor e.g. to cover staff absences.
