Girls from Lower 4 (Year 8) to Lower 5 (Year 10) are entering the EMACT (East Midlands Association of Classical Teachers) “Landscapes of Roman Britain” Competition, and Lower 4 enjoyed a fascinating tour of the Roman Walls around Exeter as part of their research!
For the competition, young Latinists are tasked with creating a piece of artwork or photograph that explores Roman Britain in a visually interesting way. Lower 4 visited the Roman remains in Northenhay Gardens and Castle Street, as well as the Norman Gatehouse, Athelstan’s Tower and the Roman Walk alongside Princesshay to get some first-hand inspiration for their entry. Luckily the rain stopped for just long enough!
