Sliceform modelling in Maths

What do you get when you combine paper craft and mathematics? Sliceform modelling! Upper 4 (Year 9) made their own mini models in lessons this week, learning about how the characteristics of sliceforms have important practical applications to areas like architecture and brain scans. With paper and scissors girls made 3D models out of several paper ‘slices’ that can also be flattened to be 2D – a fun way to combine art and maths, and come away with a colourful decoration at the end of it!
