The Maynard Staff Players enchanted hundreds of our lovely school community this week with three showings of their latest theatrical endeavour, Murder at Checkmate Manor!
This scintillating, scandalous and shocking murder mystery had the audience in peals of laughter the entire time, with cackle-worthy performances from the industrious butler, the brooding (yet charming) detective, the variously enchanting and eccentric ladies of the Manor, and the assorted rainbow of characters who brought the story to life on stage.
One of a flood of of positive reviews said, “None of us have laughed so much or had such a fun family night out for a long time… Events such as this remind us what a wonderful school it is, and that our daughters are very fortunate to attend such a unique establishment.” A huge thank you and standing ovation to all who attended and contributed to this performance of a lifetime!
