The second ever Maynard’s Got Talent will take place on Thursday 4 April 2019, starting at 7pm in the Performing Arts Centre and we can look forward to another feast of excellent performances. This is a vital fundraiser, organised by the South African Sports Tour 2018 students, for the charity SOS Africa.
The girls have pledged to continue sponsoring one of the little girls they met to enable her to continue going to school – an opportunity her family could not otherwise afford. Now 10-years old, we hope to raise enough funds to educate Raynick throughout her school years, providing her with the best possible opportunity to pave a brighter future.
Expect a range of entertainment, from the “Spice Girls” through to several staff groups of perhaps dubious talent, not to mention our excellent student body of dancers, singers and musicians who really will raise the roof for such a worthy cause. As the final night of term, we hope to go into the Easter holidays on a massive high!
Tickets (£5 for an adult and £3 for a student) are available from School Reception. Aside from a feast of entertainment, drinks and cakes will also be for sale on the night. Please help us keep our pledge to Raynick – her life is a world away from ours but we can make a real difference to her prospects.
