Springtime in Forest School

Posted on March 23, 2025

This week’s warmer weather has meant for some lovely springtime sessions in Forest School!

Year 3 enjoyed a sunny afternoon making their own nature wands using sticks, leaves, and other natural materials they could find. They also observed daffodils in detail, to examine their structure and consider how flowers attract insects.

Year 4 had a blast making their very own bird feeders. They loved making two types of feeders, one using Cheerios and another by rolling bird seed into lard, then hanging them all around the Forest School area ready for the birds to find.

Of course, toasty marshmallows were the perfect gooey treat to top it all off!
