What a wild weekend for our four Ten Tors teams! February’s training will certainly be a story for the ages. Girls had a bright and early 6:30am start from school on Saturday, only to be met with six inches of snow on the higher peaks. Despite a chilly beginning, the plan to cover 48-52km was all going swimmingly until driving rain, high winds and swollen rivers forced the route to be shortened on Sunday. Anyone who knows the moor will testify just how exposed and downright miserable it can be in such adverse conditions!
A huge thanks to parents for their flexibility in collecting girls earlier than planned, and of course a huge congratulations to everyone on the moors for keeping calm and carrying on with smiles and a sense of humour – undoubtedly quite the achievement under the circumstances!
