Last week’s Geography trip brought lovely Upper 3 (Year 7) to our local ‘rainforest’ – that is, to the Eden Project’s Rainforest Biome! As part of their studies on tropical rainforests, they took part in the Eden Project’s ‘Going to Extremes’ workshop, identifying how plants are adapted to living in such an extreme environment and considering the impacts of climate change. Stepping into the biome with over 1,000 varieties of rainforest-specific plants was completely awe-inspiring – like visiting a whole new world!
