Whoop whoop – we did it! Through to the Devon County Netball Finals and huge, huge congratulations to our incredibly talented U14 team for persevering in what can only be described as quite the most thrilling netball in recent memory!
Following competitive games against Tiverton and Blundell’s earlier in the day, we faced Exeter School in the final match to ascertain who would take that coveted place in the County Finals. And what a true cliffhanger that proved to be! Level pegging on 7-7 at full time, we went into a rapid fire of two rounds of two minutes apiece… and wow, did our girls deliver! The first half of extra time was too intense even for either side to score but we fought on, dug deep and pushed through to the very end scoring not just one, but two vital goals in those final moments to WIN 9-7 and secure our place at the Counties!
Enormous thanks to our amazing rivals Exeter School for such a nail-bitingly close game and a very well done to our phenomenal players for their momentous victory!
